Providing up to 75% higher transmitter pulse rates and eight times the sampling rate of previous generation radars, the resulting images offer the serious mariner a crisp, high definition radar picture your customers have come to expect from Garmin HD Radar technology.
The GMR xHD family of radars will support both MARPA (10 targets) as well as Dual Range for increased situational awareness in all environments. They are also all backward compatible with our entire line of network chartplotters.

Garmin Pedestal For Gmr404/406
Garmin Pedestal For Gmr404/406. Our GMR 404/406 marine radar pedestal supports GMR 404s 4 ft and GMR 406s 6 ft open array and must be purchased separately in combination with these products.
All radar data is digitally processed within this solid pedestal via a digital signal processor and is efficiently presented on compatible Garmin chartplotter/multifunction displays (MFDs). Digital processing allows for more precise recognition, enhancement, and filtering of radar echoes - making the finished display easier to read and interpret.
This pedestals two speed gear box allows for an antenna sweep of either 24 or 48 RPMs, with an input voltage of 10.5 - 38 volts DC and a typical input power of 45W. The pedestal also powers radar covering a range up to 72 nautical miles.
