·Classic downstream valve. Classic downstream valves are particularly noted for their legendary safety and reliability. When in use, the downstream valve opens in the same direction as the incoming air flow. To close the valve and stop the air flow, a spring counteracts the force of the incoming air. Therefore, a certain inhalation effort is always required to overcome the spring tension and open the valve.

NovaScotia6.5 offers a low profile, strong sealing protection in the water yet it doesn-t require bulky undergarments. It provides minimal water entry and maximum flexibility in more challenging diving conditions.


6.5 mm nylon neoprene with EverFlex stretch panels under arms and crotch, behind knees and calves for insulation, comfort and fit. EverFlex is an ultra stretch neoprene with enhanced abrasion resistance.

EverFlex is used on the inside and outside of the EverFlex line of steamers & jackets for maximum comfort, stretch and durability.

Also used in other models in areas needing -extra- stretch, like under-arms, back of knees & calves.

Heavy-duty self-repairing dry zipper across back shoulders keeps water out, avoiding that cold rush often experienced when jumping in.


3 mm fold over collar and semi-dry Glideskin neck seal combined with 6 mm hood and 3 mm face seals protect from water entry. Glideskin is an ultra smooth, non-porous neoprene used in double seals, neck seals and some interior panels. Slippery, easy to put on and off and with a great sealing capacity.

Tatex knee reinforcements protect the longevity of the suit. A high quality second stage can significantly reduce stress and enhance diver safety by providing smooth, low-effort breathing response, resulting in ample yet controllable quantities of air.

The designation balanced and classic downstream are also distinguishing marks for second stages and again imply ultimate flow performance and stability in addition to reliability, simplicity and solid performance.

- The air-balanced valve technology of SCUBAPRO-s S600 second stage features a balancing chamber in the second stage mechanism, slightly offsetting the force of the downstream air entering from the first stage.

This allows reduced spring tension and decreases the inhalation resistance to the lowest possible level.

The result is super smooth breathing in all conditions. The air-balanced valve technology is featured in the X and S-Series second stages.

For best results they should be combined with balanced first stages, like the MK25 or MK17.
