Dive Rite Sidewinder Explorer Reel
Dive Rite Sidewinder Explorer Reel. North Florida cave diver, Woody Jasper, first invented the Explorer Reel around 1980.As cave explorations were becoming longer, deeper, and more extensive a reel was needed that could help an explorer make some serious penetrations into a virgin cave system. Less likely to entangle than other reels on the market, Woodys original reel was made of aluminum and a PVC spool. The side-handle style of the reel lent itself to exploration because it could easily switch from hand to hand while laying out line. Twenty years later, sidewinder-style reels were popularized in the technical diving community when DIR aficionados began using them for paying out line in deep caves at high speed on a DPV.Our Sidewinder series of reels are designed to be anti-jam by using precision machine tolerances between the frame and the spool making it nearly impossible for the line to slip between the spool and the handle.* DuPont fiber braid line provides strength and minimizes fraying.* Cave series reels use #24 braid line giving 220-lbs of breakage strength. Wreck series reels use #36 braid line giving 350-lbs of breakage strength.* Injection molded ABS spool resists breakage and cracking.* Marine grade stainless steel axle is corrosion resistant.* High quality aircraft grade aluminum frame is corrosion resistant.* Marine grade stainless steel bolt snap is corrosion resistant.* Knurled lockdown screw has a low profile to prevent snagging* 2.68 lbs (1.21 kg)

Dive Rite Rec Exp Wing 16
Dive Rite Rec Exp Wing 16. The Rec EXP is the flagship of our innovative line of 360 degree, donut-style wings. Donut wings tend to provide greater stability and control in the water, improving diver buoyancy and trim. The Rec EXP is shorter than our traditional Rec wing, which means it now fits a wider range of diver statures, where as our traditional Rec wing is best suited for tall divers or divers who require more buoyancy at the waist.A hybrid wing, the Rec EXP can be worn on single or double tanks making it one of our most popular wings. When diving single tanks, two clips on each side of the wing attach to D-rings on the backplate, keeping the wing close to the diver’s body. This avoids the “taco†effect of the wing wrapping around the tank, away from the diver, which diminishes buoyancy control. The Rec EXP can be a single or dual bladder wing. Its unique bladder design allows a single bladder Rec EXP to be altered to become a dual bladder wing at a later date, if desired. At full lift capacity, the Rec EXP has 50 lbs/ 23kg of lift and can accommodate 95 ft3/15 L back mounted cylinders. The Rec EXP wing is designed for use with the TransPac, Transplate or metal backplates. Available in black with gray side panels. Made in the U.S.A.* Black outer bag is made of 1680 denier ballistic nylon that resists tears and abrasion* Inner bladder constructed of thick, 15-mil polyether aromatic polyurethane is resistant to abrasion and chemicals, has excellent strength and will resist the growth of microorganisms.* Urethane flanges are welded in place, which make it easy to switch out corrugated hoses and over pressurization valves without tools.* Two sets of two marine-grade 316 stainless steel grommet mounting holes are used to attach wing to harness and/or to double tanks and set diver trim.* Approximate dimensions uninflated: 24-in H x 23-in W (60.9cm x 58.4cm)* 3.12 lbs (1.41kg)

Dive Rite Led Lux Canister Light
Dive Rite Led Lux Canister Light. Burn time increased to six hours!
Over the past two years, LED technology has been advancing rapidly. The LED LUX is one of the brightest, most durable lights on the market with absolutely no trade-off in burn time. Typically, brighter means less burn time, but not so with the LED LUX. Touting a new, compact lighthead, the LED LUX has an astounding number of lumens (almost 1000), yet has a six-hour burn time.
Ten thousand hours of bulb life and the robust nature of LEDs means the LUX continues to offer a high-output, tough light that is ideal as a primary, especially for divers who travel and need a durable light.
Operational to a depth of 500 feet (152m), the LED LUX has a PVC canister that is indestructible, even under extreme pressures. The canister lid houses the on/off switch inside a switch guard to prevent accidentally turning the light on or off. A compression o-ring seal keeps water from entering the canister and locking latches prevent unintentional opening of the lid. Includes charger and comes packed inside a protective case. Made in the U.S.A.
Note: The LED LUX is not designed for use on land.

Dive Rite Voyager Exp Wing 16
Dive Rite Voyager Exp Wing 16. The Voyager series are outstanding wings for single-tank diving with their low-profile, donut-shape design. Streamlined side panels and a minimalist, oval shape create a higher-lift wing that remains unobtrusive instead of bulky. This is ideal for divers with larger statures or those who dive in cold water and/or require more weight. The Voyager accommodates up to one 95ft3/15 L tank with 35lbs/15.8 kg of lift. With its donut-shape, the Voyager wing provides greater stability and control in the water. Donut-style or 360 degree wings promote an even volume of inflation on top, sides and bottom, which improves buoyancy control and promotes a more efficient, horizontal trim.Divers may choose from our value-driven and durable 1680 ballistic nylon EXP material or our SuperFabric® brand technology XT material that we’ve married with a 1000 denier Cordura® inner shell to create an armor-clad outer bag thats impervious to damaging pinches and cuts. The Voyager EXP (Model BC 4700) is further enhanced with a heavy-duty, 210 denier nylon laminated bladder. They are backed by our WORRY-FREE LIFETIME GUARANTEE and are made exclusively in the U.S.A.As a part of our modular BCD system, it can be matched with either a TransPac® XT, Transplate or any metal backplate and webbing harness.Specs: Model BC4700 Voyager EXP outer bag is made of durable 1680 denier ballistic nylon that resists tears and abrasion. Dive Rite Classic Exp Wing 16. The Classic EXP is part of an innovative line of 360 degree, donut-style wings that provide greater stability and control in the water. The Classic EXP is an adjustable lift wing, sporting an optional Gusset Control System cord that can be used to further streamline the wing for wreck penetration or smaller size doubles. The GCS is not a bungee wing because it does not restrict air flow; instead the GCS promotes added streamlining and buoyancy control, yet allows the wing to inflate to its full capacity.Single (BC4400) bladder wing. Its unique bladder design allows a single bladder Classic EXP to be altered to become a dual bladder wing at a later date, if desired. At full capacity, the Classic EXP offers 68 lbs/31 kg of lift, accommodating two 104 ft3/17L back mounted cylinders and two 80 ft3/11L stage bottles. Dive Rite Nomad Exp Harness Sidemount
Dive Rite Nomad Exp Harness Sidemount. A longer Gusset Control System (GCS) now allows the diver to control lift by controlling the profile of the wing. This is especially important for divers who wear aluminum tanks when sidemounting or dive the Nomad EXP with a single tank. The Nomad EXP is designed for value and convenience as an all-in-one, complete harness and wing system where the harness, wing, buttplate are one, continuous rig. Without the Gusset Control and without using the wing keepers on the waist belt, the Nomad EXP delivers a full 60lbs of lift. Using the GCS and wing keepers, divers are able to streamline the wings lift according to the tanks they will carry. The Nomad EXP is designed for sidemount, doubles backmount, single tanks or rebreather and the adjustability of lift helps the diver transition between tank configuration.Popular with tech divers for its trim characteristics as well as open water divers wishing to transition into technical diving down the road, the Nomad EXP provides proper trim by keeping the top of the wing narrow, allowing more lift at the bottom, which is ideal for rebreather and sidemount divers where heads-up buoyancy can be an issue. The Nomad EXP is available with a single bladder or dual bladder and comes standard with a 16-inch corrugated hose, a plain elbow, a 22-inch low pressure inflation hose and a 2-inch crotch strap. See Tech Specs for suggested lengths or go to DiveRite.com/TV and watch videos on how to set up and accessorize your Nomad.Made in the U.S.A.Note: Single tank divers will also require a pair of cam straps, which are not included. Double tank divers will also require a set of TransPac Stability Plates, which are not included.Common configuration is 16-inch corrugated hose with a 15-inch low-pressure inflation hose for an average 6-foot, 225lb man.Common length when sidemounting tanks using the bungee system only is 17-inch.
Dive Rite Transpac Harness
Dive Rite Transpac Harness. Inspired by a remote dive exploration in Japan where divers had to hike their heavy gear through dry portions of cave to get to the underwater sumps. The explorers also needed the versatility to switch their gear configuration from backmount to sidemount to single tanks (flexibility that a traditional hard backplate does not offer). Designed like a mountaineer’s backpack, the TransPac disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits and means easy donning and doffing. A soft backplate accommodates sidemount diving, yet gives appropriate support for single tanks, double tanks or rebreathers. Slots in the backplate fit standard 36-inch cam straps (included) for single tank diving. The modular design allows for customization using an assortment of pockets and accessories, depending on the needs and desires of the individual diver. The TransPac is lightweight and flattens easily into a suitcase for travel. The TransPac is designed to be used with any wing in the Dive Rite line. Made in the U.S.A.Please note: The Dive Rite TransPac is not designed to be worn with a metal backplate. # Soft backplate is constructed of 1000 denier ballistic nylon fabric for tear and abrasion resistance.# Two-inch (50mm) nylon webbing rated at 7,000 lbs breaking strength forms the shoulder straps and waistband.# Four 2-inch D-rings on each shoulder strap are slightly bent for improved access and placement can be adjusted. Note: Sizes XS, Small and Medium have one 2-inch D-ring per shoulder strap due to space limitations.# Six 1-inch D-rings on each side of the harness provide attachment points for light canisters, pony bottles, lift bags and other equipment.# Grommet mounting holes slide over bolt kit when diving doubles and help diver set trim # Marine Grade 316 stainless steel hardware is used throughout including: (6) 1-inch D-rings, (2) bent D-rings on each shoulder strap (Note: Sizes XS, Small and Medium have one 2-inch D-ring per shoulder strap) and (2) waist D-rings, pivot rings, belt buckle, cam strap buckles, and side plates.# Shoulder straps feature pivot rings at chest level for comfort, fit, and load distribution.# Acetyl resin engineered plastic quick release buckles on the shoulders for easy doff and don.# One-inch nylon webbing rated at 2,200 lbs breaking strength and a Delrin® 1-inch quick release buckle are used for a chest strap. * Stainless steel base plates allow for proper placement of shoulder straps. Dive Rite Finger Spool
Dive Rite Finger Spool. Finger Spool 50-feet (17 mtrs)In the early days of cave diving, reels were not available to buy off the shelf. Divers used anything they could, including empty electrical wire spools. When exploring, divers would pay out the line and if they didnt empty the spool it would be left in the cave for the next dive. Cave diving pioneer, Woody Jasper, used a medical tape spool with cover to hold that short length of safety line. Today, our 50-foot Finger Spool is most often used as a gap reel or for short distance exploration. Small and low-profile, a spool fits nicely out of the way in a pocket or clipped off to a D-ring. The holes in the side allow for clipping in a double ended snap anywhere along the perimeter of the spool to keep the line tight when not in use. Made of ABS plastic, finger spools are simple to use and virtually indestructible in the water. They come standard with a large stainless double ended clip.- DuPont fiber braid line provides strength and minimizes fraying (RE4800) - Orange Dacron line does not stretch, keeping tension firm (RE4820)- Uses #24 braid line giving 220-lbs of breakage strength. - Injection molded polycarbonate spools resist breakage and cracking. - Marine grade stainless steel double ended bolt snap is rust and corrosion resistant. - 5 oz (141.7g) Finger Spool 125-feet (42 mtrs)In the early days of cave diving, reels were not available to buy off the shelf. Divers used anything they could, including empty electrical wire spools. When exploring, divers would pay out the line and if they didnt empty the spool it would be left in the cave for the next dive. The spools came in various sizes and North Florida cave diver, Bill Hogarth Main, popularized smaller spools for safety and jump reels. Today, our 125-foot Finger Spool is often used for shooting lift bags as well as a safety reel. Small and low-profile, a spool fits nicely out of the way in a pocket or clipped off to a D-ring. The holes in the side allow for clipping in the double ended snap anywhere along the perimeter of the spool to keep the line tight when not in use. Made of ABS plastic, finger spools are simple to use and virtually indestructible in the water. They come standard with a large stainless double ended clip.- White, DuPont fiber braid line provides strength and minimizes fraying (RE4900) - Orange Dacron line does not stretch, keeping tension firm (RE4920)- Uses #24 braid line giving 220-lbs of breakage strength. - Injection molded polycarbonate spools resist breakage and cracking. - Marine grade stainless steel double ended bolt snap is corrosion resistant. - 6 oz (170g)TIPS:1.Before diving with a new reel (or a dry reel that has been in storage), put the reel in a bucket of water and after soaking, pay out the entire length of line and reel it back in. This will moisten the line, precluding it from swelling on the reel and further preventing the possibility of jamming or damaging the spool.2.As with most dive equipment, you should rinse your reel with fresh water following each dive. You should also periodically disassemble the reel, and remove any build up of salt or sediment on its internal parts. 3.Dive Rite recommends pulling some or all of the line off the spool before each dive, then rewinding it neatly but not too tightly, so as to prevent the possibility of jamming during line deployment.4.Finally, too much line on the spool can cause jams during initial deployment, if you are having a problem with jams try removing 10 or 15 feet of line.
